Unlike routine passenger vehicles, industrial trucks weigh more, are more difficult to stop, harder to navigate, and are much more unsafe.

Equipment Failure

Many truck accidents that trigger serious injuries in Texas and Oklahoma involve truck operators running their lorries with malfunctioning devices. Issues with equipment often involve inappropriate upkeep and problems in brakes, tires, steering systems, or other critical car components.

Driving While Sick or Tired

The factors for driving while fatigued differ; some operators are pressed by their business to provide as quickly as possible, some motorists fret about being late, and some operators choose not to follow the DOT rules. A Texas attorney who deals with trucking accident cases frequently finds that the accidents could have been prevented if the driver had actually been more mindful. If a driver follows the regulations associating with hours of service, that driver will hopefully have slept enough to avoid such inattentiveness.

Unqualified Drivers

In order to drive an 18 wheel automobile or tractor-trailer in interstate commerce, a driver needs to be qualified under the federal regulations. Pasadena truck accident lawyers must be able to recognize when a motorist must not be driving a trucking mishap. An evaluation of a motor carrier’s file on a truck motorist will supply a trucking legal representative with the details to figure out if a operator should have been driving the truck at the time of a mishap.

Load Shifting & Unsecured Freight

Improperly secured freight causes numerous truck mishaps on the country’s highways and interstates including those in Texas and Oklahoma. Trucking legal representatives in Texas know that loads can become unstable and shift throughout transit. When a truck motorist has a load that shifts, the truck or trailer can end up being unsteady, resulting in a jackknife or rollover truck mishap. When items are transferred on a flatbed trailer, they can fall under traffic lanes if they are improperly protected.

Driving in Hazardous Weather Conditions

Much like auto accidents, truck accidents are most likely to occur when dangerous road and weather conditions are present. Despite the recognized risks of operating a truck in harmful conditions, the operators of these automobiles frequently disregard the rules and policies of their employers and the federal government. The drivers are often under pressure to have products provided in a certain quantity of time and are concerned about being delayed due to the fact that the hours of service policies may require them to rest for ten hours if they reach a specific number of hours on duty.

Company Policy Infractions

Many trucking business have policies that govern how their motorists should run their automobiles. Your truck accident lawyer should ask for and evaluate these policies to examine whether a driver was in infraction of a company policy at the time of a truck mishap. Finding policy infractions is a crucial part in a truck accident legal representative’s ability to reveal that a truck operator or company was irresponsible.

Pasadena, Texas

Pasadena /ˌpæsəˈdiːnə/ is a city in the U.S. state of Texas, within the Houston–The Woodlands–Sugar Land metropolitan area. As of the 2010 U.S. Census, the city's population is 149,043,[3] making it the seventeenth most populous city in the state of Texas, as well as the second-largest city in Harris County. The area was founded in 1893 by John H. Burnett of Galveston, who named the area after Pasadena, California, because of the perceived lush vegetation.[4]

Prior to European settlement the area around Galveston Bay was settled by the Karankawa and Atakapan tribes, particularly the Akokisa, who lived throughout the Gulf coast region. Spanish explorers such as the Rivas-Iriarte expedition and José Antonio de Evia charted the bay and gave it its name.[7] The pirate Jean Lafitte established a short-lived kingdom based in Galveston in the early 19th century with bases and hide-outs around the bay and around Clear Lake.[8] Lafitte was forced to leave in 1821 by the U.S. Navy.[9]
